Gustav Mahler: Symphony No. 5, First movement

My friend, a bassist in a local youth orchestra, introduced me to this piece, one of her favorites.

Her favorite part, starting at 6:30, is the most dramatic.

It reminds me of dramatic, intense moments in Ghibli movies,

when the main character is running away from the fantasy villain.

The entire piece is five movements,

each with its own personality and flair.

I agree with my friend, though, that this is the best.
