THIS UKRAINIAN AMERICAN LIFE

Contralto Vira Slywotzky and composer/pianist Dina Pruzhansky devised This Ukrainian American Life: a concert/cabaret fundraiser for Razom for Ukraine in 2022 to build cultural bridges between America and Ukraine and to raise funds for the important work being done by Razom for Ukraine.

In this deeply personal show Slywotzky weaves American and Ukrainian song of many genres and styles together through tales of discovering music and self while growing up Ukrainian American in Cambridge, MA. Pruzhansky’s work is prominently featured in settings of English, Hebrew and Ukrainian texts.

This Ukrainian American Life has been performed 14 times in 11 cities in 7 states and has raised over $75,000 for Razom for Ukraine.
