Saint John's in the Village is a great venue as it's both roomy / comfortable and intimate -

one can see the pianist and singers and feel like part of the show.

One of the things that makes Vira + Friends special is the choreography,

use of space and interaction with performers, and Saint John's is perfect for that.

Vira + Friends shows are always unexpected.

For those of us who have a general appreciation of music and performance it's great that we get exposure to different kinds of music, different genres, different styles of performance.

The biggest surprise on Sunday was the way Brooke weaved her

personal history into the performance and altered certain lyrics to

familiar songs to suit her story.

I love the fact that there's now a tradition of how these shows end,

and the audience takes it to a new level each time.

For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about,

buy a ticket for the next show to experience it firsthand!
