Today I'm thrilled to introduce
bass Isaiah Musik-Ayala
who will be joining Vira + Friends for the closing performance of the 2025-2026 season:
SUMMER OPERA EXTRAVAGANZA
Tuesday, June 5 at 7:30pm
Saint John's in the Village.
With a voice that the
New York Times has described as
“burly and resonant,” and the
San Francisco Classical Voice has called “commanding and compelling,”
bass Isaiah Musik-Ayala has been
gaining recognition as a performer to watch.
Since a triumphant debut with the LA Philharmonic in 2024,
Isaiah has debuted with Virginia Opera, Anchorage Opera,
Opera Modesto, Greenville Symphony, Opera In The Heights, and,
nearer to home in the San Francisco Bay Area,
Festival Opera and Pocket Opera.
A word from Isaiah:
I love singing in all its forms,
but when someone is really
singing with their whole body,
using their breath
in the way that opera requires, there is nothing more exciting.
