The Washington Group Cultural Fund presents Ukrainian Music Initiative this Sunday

Ukrainian Music Initiative is absolutely thrilled to be traveling

to the nation's capital this weekend!

The Washington Group Cultural Fund,

an organization with a robust and significant history of showcasing Ukrainian culture,

presents our inaugural program Introductions.

We are grateful for the opportunity to share this concert, a sampling of over two centuries of the musical harvest of a people fighting for freedom and independence,

with a new audience.

Valeriya has been the principal cellist of New Orchestra of Washington for six years and

performed the North American premiere of Camille Pepin's Concerto "The Sound of Trees"

last November at the Kennedy Center.

A word from Valeriya:

All of my musical experiences in DC have been artistically fulfilling.

I'm excited to continue deepening my relationship

with the city's cultural scene.

Pavlo also performs regularly in DC, most recently with

The Washington Group Cultural Fund and at the French Embassy.
