Ukrainian Music Initiative is thrilled
to partner with All Souls NYC
in bringing INTRODUCTIONS to the Upper East Side.
A sampler of member favorites,
INTRODUCTIONS features music by ten composers,
highlighting the abundance and variety of
two centuries of classical composition by Ukrainians.
In accordance with their mission,
performers speak about the works and creators,
providing context for these all but unknown gems.
The program concludes with works by living composers
who have managed to craft music of incredible beauty, light and hope while grappling with the devastation of their homeland and way of life.
Ukrainian Music Initiative made its debut as an ensemble with INTRODUCTIONS in the East Village just over a year ago
and has been touring the program since.
The group is grateful for the opportunity
to bring this beloved music back to New York,
to share it with a whole new audience
along with those eager to experience it again.
