Ukrainian Music Initiative and Common Man for Ukraine

partner to present

In the Blue of the Sky

on June 5th at Follen Church in Lexington, MA.

This concert will celebrate the legacy of Ukrainian composers and

serve as an opportunity to fundraise for humanitarian aid in Ukraine.

Today I'm thrilled to introduce Common Man for Ukraine.

The organization's four extraordinary founders,

Susan Mathison, Lisa Mure, Steve Rand and Alex Ray,

will be in attendance on June 5th

to speak about the work and their frequent travels in Ukraine.

Common Man for Ukraine

is an initiative of the

New Hampshire-based nonprofit organization Plymouth Rotary Foundation that

provides monthly trauma retreats to the children and widows of Ukrainian lost hero-soldiers and

delivers humanitarian aid regularly to

displaced children and families struggling to survive this war.

To date, the organization has delivered over 4 million pounds of food; thousands of sleeping bags, blankets and knitted items;

hundreds of generators; and other aid items to

safehouses and war-torn villages near the front and has

provided monthly mental health retreats to

over 1,600 children and widows of lost soldiers.

Common Man for Ukraine has raised over $5.5 million and counting over four years for its programs and

continues its aid missions into eastern Ukraine several times a year.

Common Man for Ukraine

founder Lisa Mure writes:

We are privileged to be

partnering with Ukrainian Music Initiative

to support Common Man for Ukraine programs. In our many humanitarian aid trips to Ukraine we have come to understand

how integral music is to the country's culture, and we are honored that

Ukrainian Music Initiative is sharing its talent and

commitment to preserving Ukraine's culture and history to

help raise funds for humanitarian aid deliveries to war-torn villages and for monthly mental health retreats for the

children and widows of Ukraine's lost soldiers.
